Chichubamba is a community so close to Urubamba in the Sacred Valley at 2870 meter (9416 feet) above sea level its main activity is agriculture and guinea pig breeding, the place is very popular by its climate, when our clients get there they will have the change to enjoy different activities such, chocolate, cerámic, chicha (fermented corn drink) preparations.
Detailed Itinerary
Chichubamba - Ceramic, chocolate and chicha
- We start early in the morning, we pick you up from your hotel, then we drive all the way to Chichubamba community and we will visit a local house where we will observe and practice the way of elaboration of ceramic, from the clay preparation to painting all the ceramic, at the house they will explain the process and the way of making different ceramic, then we walk a little bit to visit another local house to see how they make chocolate from cacao imported from the jungle of Cusco, we will observe and prepare the artisanal chocolate, after we will visit a picanterica (local restaurant) where the local girl will teach the preparation and elaboration of Chicha (Inkas drink), at the end we are going to have lunch make by locals. in the afternoon we go back to the hotel by car.
